About
My name is David Bork, I am the president and founder of Bork Technical Services Corporation. I currently hold a CISSP, MCSE, and an MCDBA. I am a security professional with experience in intrusion detection, cryptography, and security code development on Sun Solaris, IBM’s AIX, Cisco Routers, and Microsoft Windows. I have previously worked for Tech Data Corporation. Before that I worked for SystemExperts providing enterprise security solutions for Fortune 100 companies like JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter, and The Vanguard Group. I have also worked in network security for IBM and AT&T designing the architecture of, programming, maintaining, and supporting the intrusion detection systems. Among many other projects, I assisted in the writing of AT&T’s CP and CPS for AT&T’s current PKI solution and designed the layered security infrastructure protecting the CA. I provided security analysis and support for both the Sydney and the Nagano Olympics. After the merger of IBM’s and AT&T’s networking businesses, I worked on the design, integration, and implementation of their respective customer networks using Cisco Pix firewalls. I am a published author, I co-authored the Windows 2000 Security Handbook with Phil Cox. I have participated in Microsoft beta tests of many versions of Windows. I have led numerous database-related projects and developed real-time interfaces to network management systems to store network status as well as automate network recovery.
